    Blood Test is one of the most common Lab (laboratory) tests used to monitor or examine blood cells, chemicals, proteins, or other physical matter in the blood. Blood tests help to identify certain symptoms of disease.

    For most kinds of blood tests, no need for any preparation. These blood tests are to see what your blood is under normal conditions.

    However, in some kinds of blood tests, you will have to not eat (fast) for a certain amount of time before the blood is taken from your body. This usually means no eating or drinking anything after midnight before the blood is taken. These kinds of blood tests are often scheduled for early in the morning.

    Creatine kinase (CK), also called creatine phosphokinase (CPK)
    Creatine kinase (CK) in its different forms (isoenzymes)
    Creatinine
    Electrolytes to check individual tests: Calcium, chloride, magnesium, potassium, and sodium (which are routinely tested)
    Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)
